Heads and Tales Storytelling at Cranborne

What a privilage and a treat it has been this May-November to be given the opportunity to hold extra club nights at the amazing Earthouse, at the Ancient Technology Centre.

Lit by lanterns and firelight alone, our monthly storytellings have been pure escapism.  Sitting shoulder to shoulder with each other listening to tales and tellers from far and wide has been a highlight of my year.

I have enjoyed picking stories to contribute to these evenings, including Pryderi and the Dragon - a classical Wondertale,  Silver on the Hearth- an Afghan folktale, to a lively and curious version of how George Killed the Dragon... (or rather didn't!).

The immense surroundings of the building make this a wonderful setting to tell, having the audience sat in the round adds a different dynamic and tests your skills in new ways.

I have become rather at home in this fantastical place, enjoying being off grid for the evening, cut off from phone reception and noise.

If you wish to experience it for yourself, we have one club night left there this Autumn on the 6th of November. Why not put it in your diary and join us...
